First Aid (Adult, Child & Infant)
Throughout the program, the students will learn hands-on skills to identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in their environment, recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first aid care. It teaches skills that participants need to know in order to provide immediate care for a suddenly ill or injured person until more advanced medical care arrives to take over.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Throughout the program, the students will learn hands-on skills to prepare them to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. It also teaches the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
The class teaches Adult CPR/AED, Child CPR/AED, and/or Infant CPR/AED.
Certified Medication Technician
Throughout the program the adult students will learn how to administer medications in a Assisted Living Facilities, protect the health and well being of those under their care and correct medication administration procedures that will help them to avoid making error which could be harmful to those in their care.
Certified Nursing Assistant
Throughout the program the adult students will study medical terminology, health science and information related to health care which will include: all body systems (cardiac, pulmonary, endocrine, etc.), aging and geriatrics, death and dying, CPR, basic first aid, nursing assessments, prevention of infection, and taking vital signs.
Clinical will offer many experiences and offer many opportunities in the healthcare field.
Clinical also focus on hands-on patient care to prepare the adult student for competencies necessary to become certified.
